The Dan O’Connell has been earmarked as the future Carlton Campus of our school. Sadly, due to numerous delays in the many permits required for this, no opening date can yet be set.

Fitzroy Community School has earned a reputation for providing a quality, rich and uplifting education over many decades. The Normanby Avenue campus, now into its second decade, has continued this tradition. In our expansion into Thornbury, the slow, incremental growth, with the staff predominantly drawn from the Brunswick Street campus, allowed for the ethos, feel and character of FCS to be continue in a new location. Normanby Avenue, while new, has kept the core values and culture of the original Brunswick Street intact. Brunswick Street and Normanby Avenue continue to share staff, essential in keeping the educational experience and goals of the school aligned.

The Dan O’Connell campus will add to this tradition of excellence, expanding the student body while still operating as another small school. This incremental expansion, repeating our success at Normanby Avenue, means that the teaching team can again be (mainly) drawn from the established team, an essential element in maintaining our school’s culture and ethos in a new location. Enrolment enquiries should be directed to the Brunswick Street Campus by phone or email.
